It’s that time of year again! You know you’ve waited anxiously for it and could hardly wait for it to arrive.
The 2011-2012 Sycamore Pep Band is now forming and WE NEED YOU!
There really is no “official” roster for the band as we take anyone and everyone who would like to play based on a game-to-game basis. In other words, if you can only play one or two games during the season, that’s fine…we would love to have you. On the other hand, we are always looking for those dedicated students who live for each and EVERY game! We must, of course, always have a healthy number of each instrument, have a drummer, and have some sort of bass (either tubas or electric bass). Whatever you play, we can use you. Best of all, there are no quizzes, tests, memorization, or any other means to make you feel inadequate…….you just have to show up and have fun!
Below is a summary of the schedule (on the following pages is a calendar view). You will see that there are 11 games that we will play (8 boys and 3 girls). We DO NOT play games over the Winter Break!
*All games are at the High School!
*Report time for all games (EXCEPT January 28th ) is 6:45 p.m.
*Students will receive award points for their participation using the following criteria:
9-11 Events - 20 Award Points AND receive Pep Band Patch
7-8 Events – 15 Award Points AND receive Pep Band Patch
5-6 Events - 10 Award Points (NO patch)
3-4 Events - 5 Award Points (NO patch)
1-2 Events - 1 Award Point per event (NO patch)
*Students with Perfect Attendance at ALL Eleven Events will receive Pizza/Drink during 5th Bell at the
conclusion of the season!
